23rd edition of “India International Seafood Show (IISS-2023) ”

(SEAI) is organizing the biennial India International Seafood Show 2023 (IISS). IISS is one of Asia’s largest seafood fairs that has evolved over the years to become the industry’s trusted platform to develop new business opportunities and explore growth possibilities. The 23rd edition of “India International Seafood Show (IISS-2023) ”, will be conducted at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata, West Bengal from 15th – 17th February 2023 The biennial exhibition will showcase the entire gamut of the seafood industry like seafood exporters with a range of high quality seafood, manufacturers of processing/packaging/ equipments and other vendor suppliers to this industry. The 23rd edition is focusing on the theme of "IISS – The world’s Seafood Basket ". IISS 2023 offers a platform for all stakeholders to meet, deliberate on various aspects of the seafood industry for striking business deals and to have an update on the latest developments in the field. The previous India International Seafood Show edition was held in Kochi, Kerala. The exhibition accommodated 330 stalls with more than 2500 delegates, including representatives from 12 countries and over 3,500 business delegates. More than 10,000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to participate in the India International Seafood Show. India is one of the leading exporters of seafood to the global market, and currently exporting fish products to 123 countries. During the last financial year, the country exported seafood worth US $ 7.76 billion, a record achievement with 30 percent growth over the previous year. The India International Seafood Show showcases the latest advancements in the Indian seafood industry to international buyers. The Show is a platform for demonstrating innovative technologies and exhibiting the latest developments in the seafood industry. Due to the opportunities for discussion and exchange of ideas, the Show has attracted seafood importers, processors, exporters, equipment manufacturers, and input suppliers worldwide. Further, the technical sessions involving scientists, experts, and other stakeholders focus on topics relevant to developing these sectors. As part of the IISS 2023, technical sessions and an International Buyer-Seller meet (IBSM) also will be conducted to cater to emerging requirements of the sector. India assumed the G20 presidency for a year from 1st December 2022. G20 aims to secure global economic growth and prosperity. In this context, on the sidelines of IISS 2023, it is proposed to conduct a technical session exclusively for major seafood trading nations in G 20. Further, IISS also invites sponsors from G 20 nations for better visibility of their products/services on a global stage. The event brochure contains more information. The IETF 2023 – 25th edition of International Engineering & Technology Fair, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is scheduled from 16-18 February 2023 at the New Halls at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. IETF, the biennial flagship event of CII since 1975, has achieved the status of a comprehensive international B2B platform. IETF attaches great importance in the Calendar of Events of Indian Industry, as a networking platform where who is who of industry, government, academia, and media from around the globe come under one platform.
